Jason Guthrie has no time for entanglements—between helping out his widowed brother and teenage nephew and getting his hometown back on its feet, his days are spoken for. But his nights are another story… And when his lovely new neighbor, Honor Brown, reluctantly accepts his help in remodeling her house, Jason finds himself wishing his handyman skills could knock down the defenses she keeps building around herself.
Martial arts teacher Sullivan Dean knows real danger when he sees it—even when it takes the form of the gorgeous blonde helping her friend move in across the street. After putting his wayward past behind him to focus on teaching control to troubled kids, Sullivan has learned to avoid party girls like Lexie Perkins. But Sullivan can't seem to keep his hands off the real woman behind that flirty charm—or keep his heart from landing at her feet…
I loved this story! I loved the characters especially. Honor Brown is a amazing women through and through, she's tough as nails, puts family first always and takes the load of the world on her shoulders and never asks for help and never wants people to pity her but when she moves into her new to her house all her emotions boil over and into Jason's world. Jason is one sexy as heck neighbor with a heart of gold, patience (most times) of a saint and loves to help others but Honor doesn't want his help...well...she does but refuses to allow herself to lean on anybody...WOW!!!! their chemistry is off the charts sexy! Loved these two from the beginning and their HEA. Lori can sure write amazing stories that get you turning the pages. Now Sullivan man is he hot too but he's a tough nut to crack along with Honor's best friend Lexie. These two are stubborn and wild for each other and their courtship is sweet and sexy too. Love this book. Colt is a character that I hope to see again someday, he reminds me a lot of Casey Buckhorn in his love for others and always helping. Great story! 5 stars
