Nanee's Review of Protection: Mandate to Guide #2 by Edward Kendrick - Silver Publishing

Book description:
When his parents are murdered, single father, Kip, his son, Jamie, and his sister, Emily, are put under police protection. But others are watching over them as well. Others whose mandate it is to keep them safe.
Kip Townsend, the single father of eight-year-old Jamie, is happy with his life as a grad student holding down a part-time job to make ends meet. Then his parents are killed in a carjacking.
As if that wasn't bad enough, it seems Kip's father was actually murdered because he witnessed a child being kidnapped. The authorities--believing the killer might think their father told them what he saw and come after Kip and his sister, Emily--put them under police protection.
But others are watching over them, and Kip's son Jamie, as well--others whose mandate it is to keep them safe. Angels, Jamie calls them, after seeing one of them. But Kip believes it's only his imagination. Whether it is, or isn't, Kip's and Emily's lives may depend on them, as well as the police, if the killer reappears.

Nanee's Review:

Another great story by Edward Kendrick. I love his writing style, this one has intrigue, mystery, a smattering of flirtation and a whole lotta family. I loved Kip, he's a hardworking, awesome dad who just lost his parents and is now trying to keep himself , his son Jamie and his sister and her kids safe, with the help of Mack and Cass undercover cops. Love those two. Jamie is awesome, he's such a cute kid, very smart and loves his dad, oh yeh he has a guardian angel and so doesn't his dad. Love their guardian angels very sweet and protective and in love. Very fast paced story with some action. Great read 4.5 stars
