Nanee's Review of Hart's Destiny by Kimberly Adkins - Black Lyon Publishing

Book Description:

A deadly inheritance born of passion …

Jessica’s return to her small hometown is about to get hairy. A chance encounter with Jackson Hart in the days before her friend’s wedding seems coincidental—until she stumbles upon the Hart family’s mysterious ties to the bride. Coincidence and fate may prove one and the same as Jessica struggles to protect her heart from Jackson and her friends’ lives from unbelievable danger.

… and a secret taken to the grave.

Leader of a prominent wolf-shifter clan, Jackson was thrust into power under the most mysterious of circumstances. His rule tenuous, father dead, and brother estranged, he can’t risk revealing family secrets to a beautiful stranger. He can’t remember a time when he’d lost control of his desires—the only thing more deadly would be losing control of his clan to the enemy Dark Breed …

Nanee's Review:

I thought the story concept had great promise but the delivery a little off. I liked the characters in the beginning like Jackson and Jessica but Jessica's character became some what boring. I liked her fighting spirit for her friends and her protection of them but then it kinda of got weird and then good again. Jackson is a hot as hell clan leader and one look at Jessica and he wants nothing more than to be with her. I liked his character but again he lost some appeal as well. I think the story dragged a little in the middle but then picked back up. I liked Jackson and Jessica together I just wish it was a little more sexy, it was portrayed they wanted each other but no real fireworks. The whole family lineage part was interesting and preserving their family but felt again it was a little too long to get there. 3 stars
