This is the first book in the series I read, although I usually enjoy a good mystery I didn't completely love this one. I felt the plot was just ok and the characters weren't great. I did however like the fact the crimes weren't completely far fetched they were believable and I do enjoy a investigation being revealed and evidence shared. I liked that the author showed Geraldine does have a life outside of work and the story brought you into her life, made her character more likable I thought even though her life is falling apart is because of her job being her life. I would like to read the next book in this series to see what's next for these characters. 3 stars
