Blog Tour and Review of How I Met Your Father By L.B. Gregg - Riptide Publishing

Hi! Thanks for stopping by on the How I Met Your Father blog tour. I’m proud to be part of the Home for the Holidays collection and want to encourage you to purchase my book—as Riptide will donate 20% of the proceeds of the sale of this book, and the collection, to the Ali Forney Center in New York.

This isn’t my first time writing a book about fictional public figures. I’m sort of obsessed with them. Years ago, when I was a blogger, we’d play a Desert Island Keeper game where each blogger chose a hero (fictional) to be stranded alone with—we played in a fantasy football style, with each blogger having a round to choose and no hero allowed to be in more than one hut. We traded heroes. We plotted against each other. We had a blast—and from that insane blog event, the Desert Island Keeper blog was born.

That was a few years back. I’m reviewing my list, since How I Met Your Father deals with celebrity—and I’m sure more than one fan in Justin Hayes’ life would fight tooth and nail to have a night alone with him on a Desert Island.

Here’s my list.
Russell Crowe –I don’t care what anyone says. He’s a man. (Gladiator)
Chris Pine (Captain Kirk)
Tom Hiddleston as Tom Hiddleston. Yes. I know. That’s not a fictional character.
Justin Timberlake Cry Me A River and D**K in a Box. Best ever.
Max Bhagat from Suze Brockmann’s Troubleshooters. I am a May/December kind of girl. He fits that bill.
Nathaniel Hawkins (My Fair Captain—which is filthy and wonderful and…May/December)
Jake Riordan from The Adrien English Mysteries.

Looking at this list, my natural inclination is to pair these dudes.
*       Chris Pine / Jake Riordan
*       Justin Timberlake / Nathaniel Hawkins
*       Russell Crowe / Tom Hiddleston
So, who is on your list? Answer in the comments and I’ll reward two lucky people a paperback copy of either Catch Me If You Can or Trust Me If You Dare. Winners announced Monday, November 25th.

Blurb:
The man of your dreams could be sitting right next to you.
Former boy band member Justin Hayes isn't looking for a man. He just wants a quiet, scandal-free Christmas at home in Chicago, out of the public eye. But his best friend and bandmate is subjecting everyone to his destination wedding, and Justin can't dodge the "best man" bullet. All he has to do is get to the island on time, survive the reunion, and get Chuck to the altar with as little drama as possible.

What could possibly go wrong?

Jack Bassinger's own plans for a quiet Christmas have been dashed by the summons to his daughter's hasty wedding with a man Jack has hardly met. On the bumpy flight to the island, he finds himself comforting a nervous -- and extremely attractive -- young man. One hasty sexual encounter in an airport bathroom later, they both feel much better. No one ever has to know, after all.

 Nanee's Review:

Very sweet story, although on the short side it sure packed a sexy punch. I loved the " Boy band" characters each have their own quirks and separate lives but they always have each others backs. Justin's character one of my favorites, he always doing whats right by his band mates by making sure they are financially secure and always keeping his secret by not coming out and ruining his boy band persona but enough is enough when he meets Jack. Jack is my Favorite he's a sexy as hell, cigar smoking older dude that's got his eyes set on  Justin and oh my did I say he's sexy cuz he sure has a Tarzan meets Fabio look. Yummy....I loved how the writer captured Jacks loneliness and his slight let down of not knowing about his daughters wedding until late and not knowing about other surprises, I wanted to hug him. I loved Benjamin's part too such a pot head...lol..love the Laid....Up excuse too funny....very sweet and sexy story....Ive read it twice so far...4.5 stars
